Dr Beaumont's retirement

Topsham Surgery & Glasshouse Medical Centre

After 30 years working as a GP and 22 years with Topsham Surgery, Dr Beaumont will be retiring as a list-holding GP Partner from 1st April 2025.

Dr Beaumont’s patients will be automatically moved across to Dr Acklom who has been with the practice since February 2024 while Dr Phillips was on maternity leave.

Dr Acklom’s usual working days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Dr Beaumont will still be with the practice; however will be primarily working as the Duty Doctor one day a week, and will no longer have her own patient list.

Dr Beaumont said:
"The decision to retire from partnership comes with mixed emotions as I reflect on a deeply fulfilling career.

It has been a privilege to look after my patients and I have greatly valued the relationships built along with the familiarity and trust that come with continuity of care over so many years. I have greatly valued the relationships I have built with colleagues and patients alike and I will always cherish the experiences and lessons gained throughout my career to date.

As I transition into retirement I am delighted that Dr Vicky Acklom will be taking over my list as I know she will provide excellent care and I am committed to providing a smooth transition in the coming months."
